Description:

Permethrin 5% w/w Cream is indicated for the treatment of scabies. Permethrin 5% w/w Cream is suitable for adults, children of 2 months of age and above, and the elderly. Permethrin 5% w/w Cream is for external use only and should not be applied to broken skin, mucous membranes or near the eyes.

How to use the product:

Apply the cream over the whole body INCLUDING the neck, face, ears and scalp.

Pay particular attention to the areas between fingers and toes, under nails, wrists, armpits, external genitalia, breasts and buttocks.

Avoid the area close to the eyes.

Ingredients:

Active Ingredients : PERMETHRIN, CETYLSTEARYL ALCOHOL, PARAFFIN HARD.

Other Ingredients : CETOMACROGOL 1000, ISOPROPYLMYRISTATE, BENZYL ALCOHOL AND PURIFIED WATER.

Side effects:

• Skin irritation.
• Including itching.
• Swelling.
• Redness.
• May occur with scabies and temporarily worsen after treatment with permethrin.
• Mild burning or stinging may also occur.
• If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

Hazards and cautions:

Before using permethrin, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies.

This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems.

Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of:

• Skin infections .
• Asthma.
• Constant or forceful scratching of the skin/scalp may lead to a bacterial skin infection.
• Tell your doctor right away if you develop worsening redness or pus.
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant before using this medication.
• It is unknown if this drug passes into breast milk but is unlikely to harm a nursing infant.
• Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Storage instructions:

Please store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach and sight of children.
