Corsodyl Dental Gel – Treatment for Gingivitis and Gum Problems – 50g

  • Description:
The active ingredient of Corsodyl Dental Gel is chlorhexidine digluconate which is an antibacterial agent that reduces the formation of dental plaque and is used to: Treat and prevent gum disease. Maintain mouth hygiene. Promote gum healing after dental surgery or treatment.

How to use the product:

For gum disease: Brush your teeth for at least one minute once or twice daily using 2cm of gel. Continue the treatment for about a month or as recommended by your dentist.
For mouth ulcers or oral thrush: Apply gel directly to the sore areas using your finger top or a cotton bud once or twice daily for at least one minute. Continue use for 2 days after healing has occurred.
For denture sore mouth: Thoroughly brush all over dentures with 2.5 cm of gel on a moistened toothbrush, once or twice daily for about one month.
After dental surgery or tooth decay: Use as directed by your dentist

Ingredients:

Active ingredient: Chlorhexidine Digluconate 1% w/w.
Other ingredients: Hydroxypropylcellulose, macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, sodium acetate, levomenthol, peppermint oil, isopropyl alcohol and water.

Side effects:

  • Irritation.
  • Soreness, or swelling of the mouth.
  • Staining of the tongue.
  • Staining of the teeth.
  • Change of taste.
  • Burning sensation.

Hazards and cautions:

  • Corsodyl 1% w/w Dental Gel for gum disease may cause temporary discolouration of the teeth or tongue.
  • This can be removed by twice daily brushing with toothpaste or by your dentist or hygienist.

Expiry date:

This product will have a expiry of 12 months or over.

Storage instructions:

Please store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach and sight of children.
