Description:
A Ferrous Sulphate iron supplement used to prevent and treat iron-deficiency anaemia in both men and women. Iron is a crucial element for the human body to produce normal red blood cells. This special formulation with an inert porous matrix allows iron to be released gradually and help reduce the the gastro-intestinal irritation occurring with iron supplements.

How to use the product:
Recommended adult dose: One tablet daily, before food or as directed by doctor.
Ingredients:
Each tablet contains: Dried Ferrous Sulphate BP 325mg in a controlled release Gradumet, equivalent to 105mg elemental iron.
Other ingredients: Methylacrylate Methylmethacrylate Copolymer, Lactose Povidone, Magnesium Stearate, Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, Ethylcelulose, Sodium Saccharin, Triethyl Citrate, Sorbitan Monooleate, Castor oil, Titanium Dioxide, Dye Red FD & C No.3 (E127), Dye Yellow FD & C No.6 (E110).
Side effects:
You may experience some of the following effects:
– Allergic reactions have been reported with Ferrograd ranging from rashes to, in rare cases, difficulty in breathing, fainting and swelling of the face and throat which may need emergency treatment. If the tablet enters the airways.
Hazards and cautions:
Do not take Ferrograd Tablets if you:
– Know you have anaemia due to a vitamin B12 deficiency as this requires a different treatment.
– Have an intestinal blockage.
– Have been told by doctor that you have a disease of the bowels known as diverticular disease.
– Suffer from a rare inherited problem involving the way your blood cells use iron known as haemochromatosis or haemosiderosis.
– Are receiving repeated blood transfusions.
– Are already being treated with iron injections.
– Are already taking medicines containing iron.
